Overview
Converter.Plus is a browser-based file conversion tool for documents and images. Our core design principle is privacy by default: all file processing happens entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas APIs. Your files are never transmitted to any server, never stored in any database, and never seen by any third party. This policy explains what data we do and do not collect, and how we use what we collect.
Data We Do Not Collect
We want to be explicit about what we do not do:
- We do not upload, transmit, or store your files on any server.
- We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use Converter.Plus.
- We do not sell, share, or trade any user data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking technologies.
- We do not retain any information about the files you convert.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics to understand how visitors use our site at an aggregate level. This includes data such as which pages are visited, what browser and operating system you use, your approximate geographic region (country or city level), and how long visitors spend on the site. This data is used only to improve the product and is never associated with individual identities. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cookies
Converter.Plus itself does not set any first-party cookies. Third-party services we use — including Google Analytics and Google AdSense — may set their own cookies. These cookies are used for analytics and advertising purposes. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or through opt-out tools provided by Google.
Advertising
Converter.Plus displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in their Advertising Policies.
Local Storage
Converter.Plus may use your browser's local storage to save your preferences, such as your preferred output format or quality setting. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for converter.plus.
Children's Privacy
Converter.Plus is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Converter.Plus after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
